On Taxes & Jobs:

The only legitimate way to raise substantial revenues to the state, are to implement policies that create a rich, fertile environment for sustained long term economic growth. Which in turn will create high-paying jobs that will not only supply much-needed revenue, but more importantly raise the standard of living of every Hoosier for generations.

On Education:

I have personally seen schools that cannot afford to keep the lights on, this is wrong to be taking place in Indiana in 2014.
Education, be it public, private, charter school, or homeschooling, needs to be supported and funded with the ultimate goal of producing a highly educated student ready for the workforce, or post secondary education.  If one is truly in favor of producing students with a superior education, the “infantry” on the “front line” of this battle are the teachers. And if we are serious about winning this battle we need to give the teacher in the classroom (whatever form of classroom) the proper tools, support, and funding to accomplish this goal.
However, because teachers are entrusted with much, much should be expected.

On Social Issues:

Hoosier values isn’t just a political cliché, it’s real. Indiana is the perfect state to live a grounded, faith filled, free, and abundant life for an individual or a family pursuing the “American Dream.” It’s still a place where one can truly feel comfortable with who they are, and who their neighbor is. Whatever social ills trending in San Francisco, Denver, or New York City should have no bearing on how we live our lives in the Hoosier state. That’s why we live here and not there.
